About Us

All websites have their own "About Us", I don't want to be different so here for our Family website About Us (always updating so check this out once in a while).

The main purpose of Mendoza.co website is to stay in touch with our family and friends, here in US, Manila Philippines and other part of the world. Yeah! just like the United Nation ... we are the world ... our family live everywhere. I know you do feel the same way. Hey! if you want me to help you create your family website send me email (em @ king.net).

When you visit our website, you will see some pictures ok to publish to the Internet and some for friends use only (need to verify friends access). All the rest will be available here at Mendoza.co portal.

Why Mendoza.co if you ask? Why not dot com, dot net, or dot whatever you like?
Well the dot com domain name is already taken, same with other domain extension so I registered Mendoza.co which is available at that time to present our family website. I registered the domain name through NeedName.com and it is a premium name. It is a premium name because it is very common and it's a city in Argentina or Spain (I think). One day, we will go there but that's another story to tell. The domain name cost me a lot so I have to put up occasional advertising (sponsors) here to get it back the cost of maintaining our website and domain name. Maybe my sponsors will pay me more and make me "sobrang" rich some day.

The website is free courtesy by Google Blogger.com (or Blogspot). I hope this will not change in the future. All pictures stored in Picasa web.

How to set your router to allow NAT to OPEN and having the availability to connect multiple consoles.

If you are trying to fix NAT connection problem with your Xbox Live, you come to the right place (well I provide other informations IT-related). It took me a while to resolve this on my own, with the help of reading some articles as noted here. For this article, I will use my router device (also my wireless, gateway and firewall) Motorola SBG900 for my example. Configure your Router. You need to login to your router (or firewall) and add the following ports needed to run Xbox Live. These are TCP 80, UDP 88, UDP/TCP 3074, UDP/TCP 53, UDP 1900, and TCP 5000 . The 80 and 53 are needed anyway. The port 80 is for browsing the Internet and 53 for resolving the DNS information. The ports 88 and 3074 are port Xbox Live prots. Enable Universal Plag N Play (UPnP). Some router device configuration have an easy way to enable it. If you don't have this feature, you need to add port UDP 1900 and TCP 5000 to enable support of UPnP frameworks. NAT Open. You need to add entry for port fowarding ...
